Hospice charity LOROS is looking for 360 filmmakers to submit virtual reality films in a competition aimed at helping to transform the lives of terminally ill people.LOROS uses VR to give terminally ill patients whose lives have become restricted due to their illness the chance to see the world from their chair or bed. Arctic Monkeys Release ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’, First Album In 5 Years [Listen]

first_imgEnglish rockers Arctic Monkeys have released their sixth studio album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Prior to the album’s announcement, it had been five years since we last heard from the Arctic Monkeys. The band held the material from this new album particularly close to the chest, choosing not to release any singles prior to the album drop. They did, however, introduce some of the new songs at a handful of recent performances, including dates at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA and Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY.The band has also announced a series of pop-up stores around the globe to support the new album, set to take place this weekend in their native Sheffield, U.K.; New York, NY; Sydney, Australia; Paris, France; Berlin, Germany; and Tokyo, Japan.
