Insufficient blood supplies could cause postponement of surgeries and create added dangers in emergencies. Donors must be at least 18years old; 17-year-olds may donate with parental permission. Blood donations can be made at the PIH Donor Center, 12401 Washington Blvd. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays.
