Tedeschi Trucks Band Honors George Harrison’s Birthday In DC Finale

first_imgYesterday marked what would have been the 74th birthday of the late George Harrison, an iconic musician who not only was a member of The Beatles, but maintained a highly active solo career until his untimely death. With many of his songs in their repertoire, it’s no surprise that the Tedeschi Trucks Band would use the occasion to honor Harrison, playing both “Wah Wah” and “Something” on the final night of their three night stand at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC.Check out the video of “Something” below, courtesy of rangersdcfan.Of course, there were plenty of classics played throughout the night, including takes on Leon Russell’s “A Song For You,” Blind Willie McTell’s “Statesboro Blues,” and Elmore James’ “The Sky Is Crying.” See videos for all of those and more, below, as uploaded by rangersdcfan.
