first_imgThe Gallagher lab at Johns Hopkins University is currentlyaccepting applications for a postdoctoral research fellow who willcontribute to interdisciplinary studies in a rat model of cognitiveaging. The ongoing research in rodents is focused on the functionalproperties of hippocampal circuits using behavioral, neuralrecording, and cellular/anatomical methods. As part of along-standing multi-investigator research program, the trainingenvironment provides a highly collaborative experience with anoutstanding group of senior scientists in basic research, withadditional contact in translational clinical applications inage-related memory impairment in humans and prodromal Alzheimer’sdisease in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment.Applicants should have a strong neuroscience background andfamiliarity with relevant methods for systems neuroscienceresearch. The fellow is expected to stay for 2 to 3 years; positionis renewable depending on availability of funds and satisfactoryperformance. Successful applicants will have demonstrated researchinterests in experimental cognitive neuroscience, strongexperimental and statistical training.
