While NAFCU respects the work the NCUA has done on its proposal to close the TCCUSF, NAFCU members are opposed to it because they want a full refund – instead of the much smaller portion that is being proposed. The NCUA’s proposal would close the TCCUSF, merge the fund’s assets and liabilities into the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) and increase the NCUSIF’s normal operating level from 1.3 percent to 1.39 percent – the highest level in the fund’s history. NAFCU is heeding its members’ concerns, and it will continue to advocate for a full TCCUSF refund on behalf of all credit unions.last_img read more

Brighton complete the signing of Anthony Knockaert

first_img Anthony Knockaert 1 Brighton have completed the signing of former Leicester winger Anthony Knockaert from Standard Liege for an undisclosed fee.The 24-year-old, who helped Leicester win promotion and then played for a season in the Barclays Premier League before moving to Belgium, has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract.Seagulls manager Chris Hughton said: “Once I knew that there was a possibility that Anthony was available, he was somebody I was interested in bringing to the club for a number of reasons.“He is a different type of player to the wide players we have here; he can play in three positions, on the left, off the frontman, but predominantly in his previous time here in England he played on the right side.“He is a very good technical, offensive player, and has experience of playing in the Championship, in a team who played a 4-4-2 system, and he is used to having a responsibility in the wide areas – but mostly it is what he can bring us offensively in terms of goals and assists.”The transfer is subject to international clearance so Knockaert is not expected to be available to face Hull in the FA Cup on Saturday.last_img read more
