Evergreen Habitat for Humanity will dedicate two new homes in its McKibbin Commons subdivision in Vancouver on Sunday. The Robles and Villard families “look forward to the stability and safety of homeownership,” the nonprofit said in a news release Monday.“These homes also couldn’t have been built without the tireless dedication of our volunteers,” the nonprofit said. A total of 569 volunteers contributed 9,052 hours in total to both homes, including Faith Build, a group of 19 faith communities.A celebration of the completed pair of homes is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at 1110 S.E. 77th Court in the Father Blanchet Park neighborhood. They are the seventh and eighth homes built in the 10-home subdivision, which will be completed this summer, said Executive Director Josh Townsley. The homes leveraged money from Vancouver’s Affordable Housing Fund.
